Enhanced Slab On Grade LASRE Slab System

Men placing slab on grade for structural floor

The Low Anticipated Swell-Radon Evacuation (LASRE) forms create a low-profile concrete slab for low swell conditions where no movement can be tolerated. This system eliminates the need for underground pipe and gravel.

About LASRE Forms

✔️ Useful where native soils have been excavated and re-compacted

✔️ Allows for swell potentials up to 1.5%

✔️ LASRE forms on basement sub-grade take the place of normal backfill

✔️ Increased dead load better resists soil heaving

✔️ Continuous air chambers allow for radon to be removed and vented with a pipe

✔️ No need for underground pipe and gravel systems

Specs

  • Concentrated dead load of 1,054# per square foot (typical slab on grade is 50#)

  • Expansion is contained within 10” tall air chamber
