Enhanced Slab On Grade LASRE Slab System

Men placing slab on grade for structural floor

The Low Anticipated Swell-Radon Evacuation (LASRE) slab uses unique dome shaped forms to create a concrete slab system that is much less likely to move compared to a traditional slab on grade.

About LASRE Slabs

✔️ Useful where native soils have been excavated and re-compacted

✔️ Allows for swell potentials up to 1.5%

✔️ LASRE forms on basement sub-grade take the place of peagravel backfill

✔️ Increased dead load better resists soil heaving

✔️ Continuous air chambers allow for radon to be removed and vented with a pipe and fan

✔️ For use in foundations bearing on footings

Specs

  • Concentrated dead load on soil approximately 20 times greater than typical slab on grade

  • Soil expansion is contained within tunnels created by dome shaped forms
